Privacy Policy
What information this site collects, how it's used, and how to opt out.
Effective July 1, 2026
Information we collect
We don't require an account or ask you to submit personal information to use the Race Predictor, the 400m Split Calculator, or read the blog. The information we do collect comes from two places:
- Server logs. Standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) is logged automatically by our hosting provider, as is standard for essentially any website.
- Cookies from third-party services. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, and Google AdSense to show ads that help fund free access to the tools and guides. Both use cookies — see the next section.
If we ever add a contact form or email signup, this policy will be updated to describe what's collected there before it goes live.
Cookies and Google services
Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how visitors use the site in aggregate — which pages get read, roughly how people arrive here. We don't use this data to identify you individually.
Google AdSense may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings.
How we use information
Aggregate analytics data helps us decide which guides to write or improve. Ad-serving data is used by Google to display relevant ads; we don't sell or share your data with anyone beyond what's needed to run Analytics and AdSense.
Third-party links
Blog posts and tool pages may link to third-party sites (for example, footwear or gear mentioned in a guide). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of sites we don't operate — check their own policies before sharing information with them.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
